Mug Shots Coming To a Slots Machine Near You

Japanese software developer, Famista Inc has put an interesting twist on how users view slot machines. Announced this week, the company is said to be releasing a brand new slot which will place the faces of the Japan’s most hardened criminals on their slot machines. The free slots will be made available online and will allow the mug shots to be viewed by a wider audience. To add another spin to these online games if a player hits the big jackpot a new screen will appear showing detailed information about the criminal and how the player can report them to the police. This will obviously allow the police to gain further leads and hopefully speed up some of their pending investigations.
Takashi Saito, a rep for the software company said“There are many Internet sites that display photos of those on the wanted list, but they are not necessarily visited frequently. By mixing it with entertainment, we thought we can make some contribution to the police efforts.”
Famista has not received the official thumbs up from Japan’s National Police Agency, however they do have full support by the individual officers who hope that the online slot machine will help inform the public of pending warrants on some of the country’s worst criminals.
