Lasseters Shuts Down Online Operations
Written by JohnH | Monday, October 13th, 2008
After an eight-year run and many millions of dollars worth of payouts to happy clientele, Lasseters has ceased all online operations this month. Despite having a significant presence on the online casino landscape, the Board of Directors for Lasseters made the following statement:
“A review on the viability of the online casino operations was made and the Board of LCL is of the view that the ability of the online casino to turn around is very remote, despite continuous support from the parent company over the last two years. The online casino has suffered continuous losses and faces numerous constraints resulting in the company’s online casino not being able to remain competitive.”
Any company that’s eight years old in the online casino marketplace is a old-timer by today’s standards. While it’s sad to see one of these sites close down, it’s refreshing to see them do it with style. Players will have until October 24th to handle any withdrawals and every attempt is being made to contact those players with positive balances in their accounts so that they may get their money out in a timely manner. To manage the demand, extra staff is ready via email and chat to help any customers with questions during this time.
