The Saskatchewan police and conducting an extensive investigation after reports from the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority claims $1.2 million dollars has disappeared. Apparently the funds went into the ATM machine and later came out but never quite made it to the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s back account.
When authority CEO Zane Hansen realised what happened the casino, who also operates seven other casinos within the Canadian province suspended the services from all ATM’s from the supplier (who has not been identified).
The supplier didn’t know where the missing funds went, however when Hansen asked for a reimbursement he was told “No” even though it was the supplier who was to deposit the funds into the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s back account.
“We’re dealing with the actions of a supplier that has failed to reimburse SIGA,” he said.
Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is following the developments, said Dan D’Autremont, the provincial minister responsible.
