Will Disney Enter into Online Gambling Market?

Marvel has been a household name for many generations, as the comic books have been popular for kids of all ages, the blockbuster hit movies based on Marvel comic book characters were continuously released to enormous support, and then the online slots based on the lovable characters that took the gambling world by storm. However, Marvel’s involvement in the gambling realm could change. Disney will now be the name of the game, taking Marvel over and threatening the company‘s presence in online gambling. The rumor is that Disney will allow for Cryptologic, owner of Marvel slot rights, to keep using the Marvel characters in their games.

The concern is that because Disney has always focused on family, from family cruises and vacations to wholesome family movies, it is doubted that they will want to have their name in online gambling.

The online casinos powered by Cryptologic have made so much money with the Marvel character based games, that they would hate to see them go, as would the players who love these games. Once the contract runs out between Cryptologic and Marvel, what more can be done to keep the games if Disney decides to keep their family-oriented reputation, but that’s a lot of money to let go of. These games are the one reason why some player even play online slots.

This is not in the public eye yet, but once it is, the media may go haywire and drive Disney deny a contract extension with Cryptologic. Nothing is set in stone, but it is up in the air right now as to whether or not the relationship will continue. For now, the Marvel contract allows the Marvel characters to stay online for a little longer.
