Slap Happy Dennis Rodman Ordered to Pay $225,000

Once again an NBA star is making headlines in Vegas this week and no it’s not Charles Barkley dropping thousands. Former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman was ordered by a federal judge to pay a former Hard Rock Casino employee $225,000 as a result from a sexual harassment case filed back in March of 2006.

The 28 year old employee named Sara Ure, also known as Sarah Robinson (shown in picture on right with Rodman) filed lawsuit against Rodman claiming that he grabbed her while working and she was forced to dance with him in front of other employees and patrons. The Hard Rock Hotel was also named in the suit because Ure felt they did nothing to stop Rodman’s assault and failed to protect her from Rodman’s “harassing conduct”

“As Robinson stepped around the bar, Rodman grabbed her, pulled her towards him and rubbed his body against hers,” the lawsuit alleges. “Robinson tried to get free from Rodman’s grasp at which time he assaulted her by reaching down and slapping her open-handed on the bottom.”

This is not the first time Rodman has been accused of getting physical with female employees. In 2006 he was charged with sexual battery when he “slapped a women’s ass so hard it left a major mark” at Hennessy’s Tavern in Dana Point, near Laguna Beach.

Guys if you think you’re safe from Rodman’s innuendos think again. In 2001, James Brasich filed suit against Rodman for the humiliation he suffered as a result of Rodman grabbing Brasich’s dice off the craps table. Rodman than began rubbing them on his head, stomach, chest and genitals during a game in Vegas back in 1997. The original suit was asking $80,000 in punitive damages however Rodman and Brasich settled out of court.
